Travel writers Julia Dimon and Robin Esrock venture off to Latvia in this episode of Word Travels. As the writers explore the city and its medieval French architecture, each of them experiences something new and exciting worthy of another good story.

Robin sets out to find a grouping of stags out on the town of Riga, one of the party capitals of Europe. He winds up finding something different then expected, but it includes plenty of excitement and celebration.

Julia puts her fears aside and spends a night in a former Latvian Soviet prison for an experience of a lifetime. Her emotions are put to the test as she goes through much of the same difficulties former prisoners were forced to encounter when the prison was operational.
