Joanna Majcherkiewicz

Joanna Majcherkiewicz (or simply 'Magik' for those short on time for pronunciation) is an action/lifestyle sports media personality featured at leading North American events and on networks such as ABC, TSN, OLN and Global. She has a relaxed approach to interviewing and an authentic familiarity with the personalities and events she presents.

Recently, Magik hosted a 1 hr network show for ABC on the legendary Burton US Open and was one of three in-venue snowboard announcers for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. In the last year, she has interviewed many Olympians, snowboard celebrity (and two-time Rolling Stone Magazine cover boy) Shaun White, DJ Nu-Mark from the Grammy winning hip hop group Jurassic 5, Grammy nominated producer/DJ Diplo, Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys and 3 x World Surfing Champion and legend Tom Curren. She grew into the sports industry as a snowboard competitor and has experienced the gamut; from world cup to grass roots, from network tv to live announcing. When not on snow, dirt or concrete, Joanna can be found in water (sometimes hot) or traveling to live music events around the world. She also co-founded and runs MGT Snowboard Camp for Women whose niche is to connect elite female snowboard athletes with regional enthusiasts to promote progression and participation in the sport.
