South Bound Saurez

“Guides meeting in five minutes on the top deck.” It was Doug Stoup’s voice over the boat’s PA system, and our international crew of 23 guides immediately assembled on top of the 320-foot Clipper Adventurer to survey the glaciated mountains before us and discuss the day’s ski objectives.

Earlier this month, the Ice Axe Expeditions team gathered 120 people at the Southern-most point of Argentina in the seaside, edge-of-the-mountains town of Ushuaia to embark on a two-week ski adventure in Antarctica.

Being Discrete

It all starts with a vision. Steve Jobs was a visionary. He describes the Apple vision this way: “Apple at the core, its core value, is that we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better.”

We all grow up with the American Dream. If you really want to succeed, you will eventually achieve what you set out to accomplish. For those individuals who have the ability to focus on their passions and make something come of them, their path provides true inspiration.

“Breaking Trail” to Find Nirvana

To paraphrase the boys over at Powderwhore Productions.. last season in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains and in most of North America was a record-breaking doozy, making the film-making team’s never-ending mission to flatten as many snowflakes as possible almost easy.

Road Trip: a Sierra Special

Travel is one of the greatest forms of adventure. One of the simplest forms of travel is a road trip. And, a road trip is one of the most rewarding types of journey.
It is not always that easy to get out the door. But, once you commit and do it, the life experience gained is rarely regretted. Though there are always things that need to get done, when you let go and go with the flow, the journey finds you—even if it is just for a little while.
